Business Data Analyst (Commercial)

Team NL at Travix

Team NL is responsible for leading the Travix’ brands in the Netherlands (, and to a sustainable and significant market position. This team of commercial specialists is working hard to accelerate our commercial success in the Netherlands in a very competitive arena with Airlines, META search parties and other OTA’s. The team will be aiming for growth in retention, lower Customer Acquisition Costs and of course strong overall growth.


The role

As Business Data Analyst you are monitoring everything that is happening on our websites. You use this data to analyze the customer behaviour on our websites. You translate these analyses to advice and recommendations on how to optimize customer experience and conversion rates. With your in-depth knowledge of our customer data you are a sparring partner for the Commercial Manager and shape the commercial direction of our websites. You are building a network within the organization with commercial specialists, product owners and other data analysts to provide guidance and build the data-driven culture within the organization.You also work on optimizing how we are measuring and collecting data on our websites.


Your challenge

  • Figuring out what is driving customer experience and conversion rates, and being able to translate these insights into commercial opportunities.

  • Translate website data to commercial opportunities to improve the conversion rates and customer experience on our websites.

  • Provide high-quality analyses and reports that convince your stakeholders to take action.

  • Closely collaborate with Analysts, Marketeers, Commercial Teams, Product Owners, Air Support and IT to deliver results

  • Develop strong relationships with a range of stakeholders to advise on the appropriate use of data and build the data-driven culture.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in marketing, economics, data-science or another relevant study.

  • You have at least 1 year of experience in a data analysis role. You are data driven and have solid analytical and Excel skills, experience with Looker and Google Analytics is a plus

  • Experience in an eCommerce-company and/or the Travel Industry is an advantage

  • You're ambitious, you always want to know more about your field and you look forward to continuous learning

  • Ability to quickly adapt to rapidly evolving and changing business priorities, along with delivering programs leveraging technology and innovation

  • You have the perseverance to find the right answers to your questions and have a great eye for detail

  • You are able to influence and convince people to take action.

  • A result driven team player

  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential, Dutch is a plus
