The Travix development organisation teams are continuously delivering new features in a fully automated test and deploy environment. Currently the agile teams work closely with their Product Owners and each team has an allocated scrum master that is, in most cases, one of the developers from each respective scrum team.  Teams are, in the main, following scrum, but there are a few that have adopted kanban. Development teams are based in Amsterdam (NL), London(UK), Oosterhout(NL) and Belarus.

Due to the growth of our business, we are constantly looking for new talent. As a result, the Product & Technology department at our office in Amsterdam is now looking for a Delivery Manager.

The challenge:

To face the everyday challenges of an online global player such as Travix, we need a world league development team that helps us build a solid technical foundation which will support our ambitious growth plans. We are actively applying the scrum framework and expect our Delivery Managers and Leads to take a leading role in working with their teams to get enhancements delivered to the business.

Our cutting edge "Internet Booking Engine" as well as our mid & back office and Call Center Agency Dashboard are being continuously enhanced, re-factored and, in some cases, rebuilt to handle more brands and countries to bring full automation to our call centre and finance departments. To find the right balance, we need your expert opinion in helping us make the right decisions and drive the teams towards delivering more and more business value. Our goal is to deliver the best customer experience across web desktop, tablet and mobile channels.

We are looking for a delivery manager who knows their way around the Presentation Layer (Web), as well as Service Layer (Business Logic), and who can bring proven people skills to the mix  to help motivate and inspire the  teams.

At Travix we use the following technologies (you don’t need to have extensive knowledge of all the mentioned techniques): C#, ASP.NET, XML, Java, CSS HTML, AJAX, SOAP, JavaScript, Mootools, JQuery, Mssql, MVC, Unit Testing

Delivery Manager Responsibilities

As a Delivery Manager, you will be managing multiple technical delivery teams, where you are responsible for the effectiveness and quality of the delivery of high-value products.  You will foster an environment that will encourage creative thinking and an environment of innovation. You will be required to develop and nurture the resources in your teams to create high performing and motivated developers.

As a Delivery Manager you will support both the Product Owner and Scrum Master to ensure that timelines are realistic and development resources are allowed to maintain focus without distraction.

Desired Skills and Experience


  • Managing a set of scrum teams, including day-to-day management responsibility

  • Moving all of our platforms to a Continuous Delivery model

  • Aligning our strategic business plans with technical delivery

  • Developing and maintaining our global `Internet Booking Engine`, focussing predominantly on the on-line flights shopping/booking path

  • Innovating and creating an environment where all teams can innovate

  • Team mentoring and coaching

  • Analyzing and determining the impact of defects and new enhancements

  • Working closely with the Product Owners and building solid and effective relationships to ensure quality and focus for the teams.

  • Nurturing and encouraging creativity within the teams, as Travix offers a huge amount of freedom from a technology and ownership stand-point.

Your Profile

We are looking for people with a flexible and results-oriented mentality, who love to develop new things and are enthusiastic about their area of expertise!

We think it’s important you have:

  • At least 6-8 years relevant work experience and managing people.

  • Fluent English speaker

  • Affinity with working in Scrum and development teams

  • If you have experience in working with high volume websites, e-Commerce Business, or in the travel industry, it is definitely an advantage
