Junior Account Manager

Junior Account Manager, San Jose CA

As the Junior Account Manager, you are responsible for coordinating and managing daily operational follow-ups with airlines and supplier partners across the Americas Region with a focus on the Latin America market. You will assist the Industry Relations Director to negotiate contracts and special rates with our strategic partners and review result at the end of every contract. Internally, you will collaborate with our commercial team on strategies and implementation. You work closely with the marketing team with inputs, for them to create campaigns for our airline partners. You are data-driven, goal-oriented, and can communicate and deliver results in a clear and objective manner.

Your challenge

  • You will take ownership of LATAM contracts, including but not limited to negotiating airline and supplier incentives, facilitating smooth operations between Travix and airlines/suppliers
  • You understand the competition in the LATAM market and are able to negotiate good deals with our strategic partners and internally strategize with our commercial team
  • You will monitor sales performance to ensure target achievement
  • You will provide support for the rest of the Americas region
  • You will manage the communication and logistics of marketing activities from the airlines

What you bring to the table

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a must
  • 1+ years of experience in either either direct, inside sales or business development
  • Bachelor degree required, major in Business Administration or Tourism preferred
  • Experience in airlines or travel agency sales is preferred, GDS knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of the LATAM market desired
  • Data and result-driven, self-starting, flexible to frequently shifting priorities
