Job Purpose

As GL Accountant you will be part of the Accounting & Reporting Team both in Bangalore and Amsterdam, who handles daily activities for a number of processes and multiple entities. You perform the month end closing in an accurate and timely manner. Besides the daily routines, there is a strong focus on improving processes. 

We are looking for a self starter, who is detailed-oriented, but can also take a step back to understand overall figures and processes.  

**For this position a certificate of good conduct (VOG) is necessary, as you will be working with confidential data.

Key Responsibilities

• Day to day finance and accounting to ensure that financial accounting is in line with tax, legal and internal procedures
• Participate in Month End close activities, prepare accruals, prepayments and other reports as required
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, analysis of profit and loss statements
• Work closely with Travix Headquarters in Amsterdam
• Responsibility for corporate and local audits deliverables
• Support to AR and AP departments 
• Actively seek occasion to process improvements

What you bring to the table

• Excellent communication skills, fluent command of English 
• Experience in working with European Headquarters
• At least Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting or similar. 
• At least 5 years of solid GL accounting experience in international organisation
• Excellent Excel skills, being able to prepare user-friendly overviews and reports based on raw, unstructured data
• Ability to work independently on assigned duties 
• Excellent organisational skills while working on tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and respect for internal procedures
• Flexible working in shifts
