Director of Brand Marketing

Do you love to build brands and actually convert marketing activities into sustainable business growth for a leading global online travel agency? Job Purpose

  • Drive business growth via solid and creative brand and campaign development across markets 
  • Create the global marketing calendar including innovative and impactful campaigns to increase brand awareness, traffic, conversion and retention in focus markets
  • Bring solid all round marketing experience in brand, campaign, content, web, newsletter and socials 
  • Lead the brand marketing team 
  • Develop the annual brand plans and master a flawless execution at all times
  • Work with the customer at heart, develop attractive campaigns based on consumer insights.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and develop a team of marketing/ channel specialists, including brand & campaign, content, newsletter, social media and creative design
  • Drive the full marketing funnel; from brand campaigns to customer acquisition and retention: increase online visibility and attract qualified leads 
  • Develop and maintain attractive and consistent brand presences across touchpoint
  • Work closely with the Performance, Product and Data team to develop initiatives born out of consumer, market and/ or channel performance insights 
  • Develop content strategies that resonate with the target audience and contribute to the brand’s positioning 
  • Develop and execute newsletter and social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement
  • Keep track of brand marketing performance: establish and track KPIs to assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts and spend 
  • Conduct consumer and market research to analyze (new) market opportunities, consumer behavior and competitor activities.

What you bring to the table:

  • Degree in Digital Marketing or related discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role in Brand/ Digital Marketing in the Netherlands, preferably in travel/air industry, FMCG or scale-up
  • Knowledge of Branding, Campaigns, Content, Email, Socials and preferably PR
  • Data-driven mentality and analytical skills are a must
  • Proven people manager skills, with a track record in providing guidance and support to achieve collective and individual goals
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong stakeholder skills: you’re a connector, build bridges and can clearly present conclusions based on data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
