Job Purpose

The Airline Global Contract Manager has a pivotal role within Travix for globally ensuring “Flight is core”. You will be challenged to establish significant growth in our market positions. You are the person in charge and you act as an entrepreneur who runs his/her own portfolio within the global Travix business. This role offers a unique chance to truly take ownership in driving the successful growth of our business.

As this is a commercial position within an already established business you will need to collaborate strongly with stakeholders and involved teams to line them up on key goals for the different regions. This requires leadership, global thinking and acting, and vision.

Your challenge

This is a highly visible role in the organization in which you are the key linking pin between multiple internal teams and external suppliers. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Representation of the company at relevant and productive airline and industry events;
  • Creation and establishing of value proposals based on Business- and Data Intelligence;
  • Creation and establishing global contract structure;
  • Permanent Sales performance monitoring and optimization based on volume, revenues and contract values;
  • Creation of the yearly incentive and marketing fund budget; 
  • Frequent face2face airline and consolidator meetings;
  • Creation of partner business plans for all contracted carriers and consolidators;
  • Lead and anticipate performance KPIs, opportunity leads, share potentials;
  • Guarantee to negotiate the best commercial contracts;
  • Avoidance and resolution of relationship conflicts (legal);
  • Cover all necessary topics to guarantee the best relation and airline performance;
  • Create highest value recognition within all relevant airline contact levels;
  • Negotiate the best and exclusive fares;
  • Avoid ADM’s by negotiating waiver & favor funds and negotiate ADM refunds, if not existent;
  • Prepare and present frequently the airline contract performance vs. budget and related measures;
  • Provide relevant exclusive information and insights of our airline partners for internal distribution;
  • Manage to deliver always on time personally and team. 
  • Maintain and cultivate long-term relationships with airlines and consolidators.

 What you bring to the table

  • Degree in Economics, Tourism, Business Administration or Marketing
  • 3-5 years of relevant knowledge and work experience in a commercial and/or managerial job at an Air/Travel company
  • High level of sales skills (also online)
  • Experience in airline pricing and airline revenue management
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in/with online/offline travel agent industry
  • Highly proactive, creative, and analytical orientation. Hands-on manager with abilities to present and represent
  • A very strong can-do attitude
  • Experience in creation and evaluation of complex business cases
  • Excellent English language skills, other languages, such as Spanish is a plus
  • Knowledge of airline route networks, airline pricing and revenue management
  • Analytical thinking and high degree of self-responsibility
  • Good communication skills;
  • Absolute teamwork-minded.
