Data Analyst Payment, Fraud & Chargeback

In our Payments, Fraud & Chargeback team, we take great pride in putting data at the heart of everything we do. As the Data Analyst in the department you will be liaising with our Data team, Data Science team, Finance department and our Payment and Fraud analyst team to ultimately ensure that Travix has the best business results through an adequate Fraud prevention and Payment framework. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis on Fraud, Chargeback & Payment data, aiming to provide insightful information to the teams and suggest solutions to improve payment flows and support on fraud prevention strategy to minimize fraud loss and chargeback rates
  • Collaborate with various teams and departments and understand the business needs
  • Assist in data requests for Fraud, Chargeback and Payments
  • Support Fraud Business Analyst team with SQL and Python coding issues
  • Support Fraud Manager as Business Owner for the Anomaly detection model
  • Support Fraud Manager as Business Owner for the Fraud model
  • Dashboard and reporting updates and monitoring
  • Responsible for data quality and report automation
  • Chargeback report accuracy per acquirer
  • Solve data issues in Looker/ Big Query tables

What you bring to the table

  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant role (BI, Data analysts, reporting analyst)
  • Master degree in Mathematics, Statistics or similar field
  • Have the ability to understand and translate complex data sets into actionable insights
  • Strong affinity with and preferably background in fraud, online payments and/or e-commerce environment
  • Very strong analytical skills with a data driven attitude
  • Technical requirements: advanced Excel, SQL & Python
  • Good understanding of machine learning
  • Ability to  work under pressure and capacity to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with strong communication skills
