Travix, a leading online travel agency (OTA), has announced the appointment of Mira van Houwelingen as Chief Marketing Officer. In her new role, Mira will lead Travix’s global marketing initiatives, focusing primarily on positioning the company’s flagship brand, CheapTickets, as the preferred online travel agency in the Benelux region.
Most recently, Mira served as Head of Marketing Netherlands at grocery delivery company Getir where she played a pivotal role in launching and building the brand in the Dutch market. Previously, she held key positions such as Head of Marketing & Digital at Moët Hennessy and various marketing roles at Rituals and Unilever.
Mira stated: “I’ve been lucky to have had a lot of incredibly valuable experience working with leading brands, and I look forward to the new challenges this role will bring Working with a strong direct brand and a very knowledgeable team, I feel confident we’ll be able to tackle any challenge that will come our way. I can’t wait to strengthen the Travix brands and I’m excited to accelerate the company’s marketing strategy, both in the Benelux region and globally.”
